Great Easter Egg Hunt 2011

We were delighted to see more than a thousand people take to the City Centre streets over the Easter weekend for the second annual BID ‘Great Easter Egg Hunt’ held in conjunction with Eastgate Centre.
Entrants were given clues to help them discover 10 of the 24 Easter eggs displayed in shop windows throughout the BID area while onlookers were entertained by stilt walkers, balloon modellers, clowns and face painters.
BID Manager, Mike Smith, said “We were delighted that such a large number of people took part in the Great Easter Egg Hunt. There was such a wonderful festive atmosphere and local families and visitors alike all said how much they enjoyed this free event.
“The support for the Hunt by the City Centre businesses was overwhelming and we have had a lot of positive feedback from them
The event was supported by MFR with presenter Ken Kelman live on air from the event on Saturday.
Everybody who took part in the Easter Egg Hunt received chocolate treats on the day and all correct entries went into a draw to win one of four £50 Eastgate shopping vouchers.
The Lucky winners were - Emily Wood, Inverness, Joshua Maniquiz, Inverness, Zoe Buchan, Beauly and Karen Cooper, Smithton. Well done to you all!
