SUPPORT THE CAMPAIGN TO SAVE OUR INVERNESS – GATWICK AIR LINKS

COMPLETE THE ONLINE SURVEY NOW

Inverness businesses will be aware of the concern at the potential risk to the three times daily Inverness-Gatwick flights as Flybe recently sold their landing slots at Gatwick to Easyjet effective from March 2014.

BID on behalf of the member businesses have supported both the Inverness Courier and The Press & Journal campaigns to seek to protect and continue these air links.

Equally importantly, BID has been engaging with the other key local business organisations behind the scenes in developing a strategy to try to influence Easyjet, as the new operator to retain these air links which are vital to both the tourist trade to the area and Highland businesses trading out of the area.

Following advice from the air industry it was agreed by the organisations that they come together to try to ascertain as much information about the current value of the service to the Highland economy. It was agreed that SCDI should act on behalf of all of the local stakeholders in collating this information.

A very simple business survey can now be accessed via the following link:

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/InvernessLondonConnectivity

We hope to get as many responses from local businesses as possible and would urge you to complete the survey as soon as you can on behalf of your own business. Please also feel free to circulate the link to any other business person.

Even if you are a relatively infrequent user of this air service your response is valued - it is important that we submit as much information as possible to convince Easyjet to maintain the current level of service.

Many thanks for your support.  Mike Smith, Inverness BID
