A fantastic evening was held at the Inverness City Centre Business Awards on Monday 26th February in the Mercure. A GREAT LOSSIt is with great sadness that we have been informed that BID Director, Bill Fraser of Duncan Fraser & Son Butcher passed away on Saturday morning in Raigmore Hospital.Bill, who had his 90th birthday last August was always a big supporter of Inverness City Centre. He was Provost of Inverness from 1992-1996 and a Director of BID since 2008.Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.Funeral arrangements to follow.

Inverness BID launches 5 year Business Plan
The Inverness City Centre Business Improvement District today (6.2.18) launched its 5 year Business Plan for a third term 2018-2023 which will be circulated to 632 city centre businesses (liable to pay BID levy) by the Highland Council on Thursday 8th February along with voting papers for the Renewal Ballot. 2017 BEST BAR NONE AWARDS ON MONDAY 8TH JANUARY
CONGRATULATIONS to the Inverness licensed premises who won awards at the 2017 Best Bar None Awards held in the Mercure Hotel on Monday 8th January.Twenty-two venues were recognised under the Best Bar Scheme for their outstanding efforts in helping to create a safer environment for the public.

FREE WIFI ROLLED OUT ACROSS INVERNESS CITY CENTRE
City-region deal investment means that Inverness can now be branded a digital city.Ness WiFi, a free WiFi service, which was successfully piloted earlier this year, has now been rolled out across Inverness city centre, extending to and including areas such as the High Street, the Castle, Eden Court, and the bus and railway stations.

The Elf on The Shelf Hunt 2017 - FRI 1ST & SAT 2ND DEC
The Elf on the Shelf is now a popular Christmas craze with many families taking part. To add to the magic we are running the 'Elf on the Shelf' Christmas Hunt in the Victorian Market on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd December.Lots of Santa's elves will be hiding in the Victorian Market shop windows to check up on boys & girls so they can report back to Santa before Christmas Eve.
