Rose Street Parking Prices to be lowered from Monday 11th May.HIGHLAND Council Community Services have listened to concerns raised about the Rose Street parking charges which were introduced on 1 April and a revised pricing structure will be implemented from today, 11 May.

The City Centre was buzzing on Saturday 9th May at the 7th Classic Vehicle Show!This year 130 vehicles were on display in High Street, Eastgate Precinct, Inglis Street, top of Church Street, Falcon Square and for the first time at Inverness Castle which proved to be a very popular venue.The city centre was buzzing with Music and Street Theatre with something for all the family to enjoy!

There were outstanding results for Inverness at the Best Bar None National Awards Scotland which were held in Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh last night (Thursday 26th March).Five local licensed premises who had previously won their category in Inverness were shortlisted for the national awards with:Johnny Foxes & The Den being announced as the BEST BAR NONE NATIONAL CHAMPION making them the overall the BEST BEST BAR NONE PREMISES throughout Scotland!Other Inverness winners were:

Inverness Businesses Set to Benefit From Broadband Boost

Businesses in Inverness will now be able to apply for grants of up to £3,000 each to boost their broadband, following an announcement made earlier this week by the Chancellor.  This comes as part of the Government’s broadband connection voucher scheme, which is to be extended for a further year. Each voucher covers up to £3,000 of installation costs but businesses can also apply as a group to connect bigger or more complicated premises. Once installed, businesses pay the line rental and VAT.

Flood Alleviation Works - Bank Street to Reclose from Tue 24th Feb till Tue 19th May

Motorists are being advised by the Highland Council that from Tuesday 24th February until Tuesday 19th May, Bank Street will re-close to through-traffic from Fraser Street to Friars Street.
