Invitation to hear about "RIVER CONNECTIONS" The River Ness Arts Project

Inverness City Centre BID Businesses invited to input into "RIVER CONNECTIONS" The River Ness Arts Project Learn more about RIVER CONNECTIONS a major arts project which will see £750k invested into projects being installed along the River Ness on completion of the Flood Alleviation Works.  These projects will seek to enhance the riverside, link the river and the city and to increase residents & tourists appreciation of the River Ness thus reflecting the importance of Inverness as the Capital of the Highlands.

Inverness Street Festival 2014 Attracts Massive Crowds

Thank you to everyone who came to the Inverness Street Festival and helped make it such a fantastic success!Market research carried out over the 3 days showing that almost 80% of those surveyed coming to the city centre specifically for the event Massive crowds attended all the city centre venues to watch the different acts perform their shows.

The Royal National Mod Fringe Programme

The Royal National Mod - Scotland's premier Gaelic Festival, takes place in Inverness for the first time since 1997 from 10th to 18th October 2014.Although the focus of the Royal National Mod is on competition, the event also offers a wide and comprehensive programme of non-competitive “Fringe” events which regularly include performances from some of Scotland’s top traditional musicians and Gaelic singers. 

The Royal National Mod Torch Light Procession on 10th October

The Royal National Mòd are organising a Torch Light Procession on Friday October 10th , meeting at Crown Primary School Car-park at 18.00pm- 18.15PM  departing shortly afterwards.A pipe-band will lead the Torchlight Procession past the Inverness Town House where the procession will take a salute from the Lord Lieutenant Mr Donald Cameron of Lochiel,  and then proceed across the Ness Bridge, along Ness Walk leading to Eden Court Theatre, where all the torches will be doused outside Eden Court.
