BID Breakfasts

City Businesses Prepare to Tee Off
Inverness BID committed its support to ensuring the success of The Barclays Scottish Open when hosting its latest BID Business Breakfast last week (Wednesday 23rd March).
Inverness city centre businesses were invited to come along to hear more information about the prestigious event from Castle Stuart’s Grant Sword and Fraser Cromarty and to discuss how the City Centre can best prepare for the event at Castle Stuart this summer.
BID Chairman, Craig Duncan, said “ We were absolutely delighted with the positive response from businesses in the city to this event. This is the best turnout we have had at a BID Breakfast meeting and is a strong indication of how interested and excited everybody is by the event. “
“ We’ll be working with businesses to support the event and really create a real sense of arrival and welcome for those attending”
Speaking to around 100 business people from across the City Centre, Grant Sword, a Partner in Castle Stuart Golf Course said, “ This is an excellent opportunity to prove what a great host Inverness can be and to really put the city on the map as an important fixture on the European Golf tour.
“I can’t stress enough the importance of working together and sharing ideas so that we can provide the best possible visitor experience for everybody that comes to the Open.
“This is a three year contract which may be extended to four and I think you’ll all agree that this is going to bring serious economic benefit to the local area.”
The Scottish Open will take place from 7- 10 July at Castle Stuart Gold Course. Tickets are available from: www.castlestuartgolf.com
