Best Bar None is a nationally recognised awards scheme for licensed premises and currently runs in over 80 locations across the UK. This year over 500 premises throughout Scotland took part in the assessment process.

Organised by Inverness BID, premises are initially assessed locally and have to demonstrate how well they manage and operate their own businesses to meet a commonly agreed set of national benchmarks.

Craig Duncan, Chairman of Inverness BID said “As co-ordinators of Best Bar None in Inverness, BID recognise the value of these awards on both a national and local basis. We are delighted that the number of Gold Awards this year has risen from 14 to 15 this recognises the continuing efforts all of our local licensed premises have made this year.   It is also very pleasing to see two new premises, one from out with the City Centre, taking part for the first time”
