Best Bar None

The Best Bar None is an awards scheme for licensed premises, currently running in over 80 locations across the UK.
The aim of launching a Best Bar None scheme is to reduce alcohol related crime and disorder in Inverness City centre, promotion of dialogue between official agencies and licensees and increase the safety of our licensed premises by building a positive relationship between Inverness BID, The Licensed Trade, the Highland and Islands Fire Rescue Service, Highland Council and Northern Constabulary.
Best Bar None demonstrates to the public, visitors and local residents that licensees are responsible operators. Raises public awareness of the benefits of choosing to visit a well-run establishment and thereby improves the public perception of Inverness, both locally and nationally
16 premises took part in the award scheme in 2011 which included all three categories namely Pubs, Bars and Clubs. Seven Gold Awards, Seven Silver Awards and Two Bronze Awards were awarded.
