COACH FRIENDLY SERVICE

We were delighted to see the return of cruise ships visiting the Port of Cromarty Firth in 2022 with circa 115 liners visiting the Port between April and October.  During the summer months these coach visitors provide a welcome boost to the city centre economy.

Inverness BID provide a Coach Friendly facility at Ardross Street in Inverness where we employ Coach Ambassadors to welcome coaches arriving from the cruise ships as well as other visiting coach tours.  Our friendly Ambassadors hand out our Inverness Visitors Guide which helps guide visitors to the city centre and showcase some of our fabulous independent businesses.

In 2016 we were awarded Coach Friendly status by the Confederation of Passenger Transport in recognition of the excellent facilities and service provided by Inverness BID to visitors and coaches.
