The Elf on The Shelf Hunt 2017 - FRI 1ST & SAT 2ND DEC

The Elf on the Shelf is now a popular Christmas craze with many families taking part.  To add to the magic we are running the 'Elf on the Shelf' Christmas Hunt in the Victorian Market on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd December.Lots of Santa's elves will be hiding in the Victorian Market shop windows to check up on boys & girls so they can report back to Santa before Christmas Eve.

There was a full house at Tuesday’s BID Business Breakfast with the theme “Inverness Must Offer a Safe & Secure City Centre”.  

BID Welcomes Return of Planning Department to City Centre

BID Manager Mike Smith today said “The Directors of Inverness BID very much welcomes today’s announcement by the Highland Council that the Inverness and Nairn Planning and Building Standards team will be relocating to the recently refurbished Town House later this month.”

Inverness Floral Displays 2017

Mike Smith, BID Manager - "Inverness BID is proud to act as co-ordinator of the annual floral project to display nearly 800 hanging baskets in Inverness city centre each summer. These displays give such an uplift to the city centre. We act in partnership with the Inverness Common Good Fund who are the main funders of the project together with BID.  High life Highland’s staff at the Botanical Gardens are responsible creating and maintaining the wonderful displays.”

The BID Task Team are currently operating throughout the Summer Holiday period until Saturday 2nd September 2017.

The first Inverness City Centre Business Awards - 17th May 2017

The first INVERNESS CITY CENTRE BUSINESS AWARDS Ceremony held on 17th May in the Mercure Hotel was a fantastic success with over 70 finalists attending the Awards Ceremony.   An overwhelming 13824 votes were received by the public voting for their favourite city centre businesses in the seven award categories.

Record Crowds at Inverness Classic Vehicle Show

The ninth Inverness Classic Vehicle Show on Saturday 13th May was a brilliant success with over 200 vehicles from all eras displayed at city centre venues including:High Street, Inglis Street, Church Street (Upper & Lower), Lombard Street, Falcon Square and Inverness CastleMusic and entertainment created a fantastic atmosphere throughout the city centre and feedback from businesses was that it was an excellent trading day.Thanks to everyone who came along to support the event.
