Located in the heart of Inverness, the Old High Church is one of the cityโs most historically significant buildings, with a presence in the civic and cultural landscape for centuries.
A newly formed community group, The Old High Inverness SCIO, is working to secure the site for public use, aiming to preserve its heritage and repurpose it as a space for cultural, educational and community activities.
The group have raised over ยฃ7,000 and secured funding for survey work which helped to shape their business proposal in collaboration with respected partners but they need your help.
The vision is for a multi-use venue that reflects the buildingโs historical value while delivering a relevant and inclusive space for todayโs Inverness to compliment what is already on offer in the centre. The group are keen to involve businesses and the community as plans develop but –
A closing date for offers has been set for 1st August.

ASB Awareness Week 2025 – 30 June โ 6 July – See It? Report It! #MakingCommunitiesSafer
Inverness joins towns and cities across the UK to support Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week 2025 with Inverness BID launching our new โSee It? Report It!โ campaign.ย Look out for our daily posts with national statistics on the Inverness Operation Respect Facebook page.
Weโre encouraging businesses and the public to report any incidents of anti-social behaviour – big or small. Not every issue is a 999 emergency, and 101 can take time, but reporting online is quick, easy, and helps ensure action can be taken.
Working with Police Scotland, Highland Council, SFRS, British Transport Police, Mikeyโs Line, Ross County FC, and other partners, we’re standing together to help keep Inverness safe, welcoming and resilient.
Owen McManus, BIDโs Senior Community Safety Co-ordinator, said:
โYou donโt need to accept the unacceptable. Report it โ even if itโs online โ so it can be dealt with.โ Letโs work together to tackle ASB in our city centre.
ย Report online via: https://www.scotland.police.uk/secureforms/contact/
