One – Month Food Waste Challenge
Every year one third of all food produced globally is wasted. By measuring food waste, your business could increase environmental credibility, reduce running costs and help the planet.
The One-Month Food Waste Challenge toolkit is designed to help businesses identify, reduce, and manage food waste effectively. It’s a four-week initiative supported by VisitScotland and is designed with busy small and medium food service businesses in mind. Learn more here.

Single-Use Cup Recycling
Did you know single-use cups need to be recycled separately to other items? We’re working with the National Cup Recycling Scheme to bring The Cup Box to the Highlands. It’s a convenient solution for hospitality, workplaces and community settings to make sure single-use cups are being recycled effectively.  Request your FREE box here.
(Not suitable for compostable cups e.g. Vegware or Decent – please contact your supplier about collection for commercial composting)

For more information on these initiatives visit their website and feel free to get in touch with any questions.

Returnable Packaging
HCWP has teamed up with German returnable packaging system Vytal to offer Highland businesses the chance to try it out for FREE.  The system makes reusable cups and food containers available to customers to borrow at the point of sale.
