Inverness BID Launches ‘GULL WATCH’ Campaign to Strengthen Incident Reporting
Inverness BID has today launched its new ‘GULL WATCH’ campaign,…

Operation Respect Street Scene is a partnership initiative focused on providing a positive experience for young people in Inverness city centre, offering welcoming and engaging opportunities on Friday afternoons. Building on successful sessions in October and again in March, partners are continuing to develop future activity periods that strengthen the strong engagement already seen.
This youth-focused initiative provides a mix of sporting activities, games, food, crafts and information stands, alongside pre-organised sessions designed to encourage participation and connection. The aim is to create safe, supportive and positive spaces within the city centre where young people can spend time, enjoy a meal, take part in activities and engage with a range of services and support.
Street Scene takes place across a number of city centre locations, including Falcon Square, Scran Kitchen and Ember Kafe, allowing young people to move between spaces and take part in different activities throughout the afternoon.
The programme is supported by Police Scotland, Highland Council and a range of local charities and partners, all working together to provide a consistent and welcoming presence for young people.
With strong feedback from both the October and March sessions, partners are now exploring further opportunities to continue Street Scene in the months ahead, ensuring young people have access to positive and engaging experiences in the city centre.
Anyone interested in supporting future Street Scene activity is encouraged to get in touch with Owen McManus, Senior Community Safety Officer by email owen@invernessbid.co.uk.
